Feederbrook Farms, Sheep, and Entropy

August 31, 2013

Entropy by Feederbrook Farm

entropy (n.) – 1. the degree of disorder or uncertainty in a system  2. a beautiful 2-ply DK wool yarn handcrafted by family-owned Feederbrook Farm in Baltimore, Maryland.

Feederbrook Farm raises registered Blue-Faced Leicesters (“BFL”s), Teeswater, and Shetland Sheep.  If you’ve never given a thought to where your yarn comes from, take a look at their beautiful sheep (did you know there were so many varieties?)  Clearly, this stunning yarn is shorn, spun, and dyed with much love and care, and hopefully you’ll feel that in some way when you knit with it.
