Learning to do more serious crochet. Years ago, I crocheted simple baby blankets, since then I learned to knit and quite shunned crochet. Now it like, wow, this is fun. Finding a crochet pattern on Ravelry, “Leaves of Summer Vest”, I am treading the deeper waters of a great craft. I barely got my toes wet and am quite befuddled, whatever is “work a foundation single chain”. Quite true to nature, I begin to “panic”. I watch youtube after youtube on the technique from different crocheters. Why can’t I get this…where is that spot I’m suppose to insert the hook?????
Finally I happen upon a youtube that makes the most sense to me. The lady instructed the viewers to place a piece of waste yarn in the spot that you will come back to to finish the stitch.
What a relief. Here I come crochet world:)
