Project Help and Knitting Space

April 16, 2013

Knitting can be a relaxing activity, akin to yoga or meditation… however, when you hit a snag and something doesn’t look the way it should, it can feel more like rush hour traffic on a hot day… infuriating!

At fashion knit, we try to eliminate the hair-tearing, teeth-grinding part of knitting so you can get back to the lovely serenity that made you pick up your needles in the first place.  Bring by your project any time and we can help!  The first five minutes are free, which is usually enough time to tackle the most basic problems (dropped stitches, gauging, that-sweater-has-an-extra-armhole).  6-29 minutes run $10, a half-hour is $20, and a full hour is $35 – which is akin to having a private lesson.  In these cases, we can really take a look at what’s going on with your project and help you figure out what to do next. (Keep in  mind, the prices reflect actual time the staff works with you – if you’re here for an hour and a half and you only need us for 15 minutes, you only need to pay for those 15 minutes!  Reasonable, no?)

And of course, feel free to come in and just sit and knit!  We have a couch, two tables, and plenty of chairs for your convenience.  If you need a place to get away from your stressful life and not be bothered by kids, spouses, or pets, we’re always here for you!
