Knitting and crochet simply rock my world. One of my favorite activities is to curl up on the couch and enter a world of color, texture, pattern, and discovery. It’s not always easy, getting stumped here and there, working through the little blocks, and getting on again.
My daughter paints and writes poetry. She is a paramount inspiration for my knitting. This week she sent me a copy of her new poem, “Sunrise”.
I will share some excerpts of this with you:
“I see the Sunrise…
How will I fill my canvas today?
For that only I can answer, and only I can say.
The sun rises slowly peeking through the clouds
I see the new day being born, I am awake.
My creations are yearning for me to make!…
The canvas is blank, empty, and white,
But, not for long, this day’s picture, oh will I make with delight!
My picture begins now that I see the sun,
Another beginning has begun…”
